Anyone familiar with this company ScrapGo LLC? Based out Chicago.

They post tons of loads on TS but don't have MC# listed ever? Why?

Seems odd then, they list loads in 100s of cities...

    As long as they're buying/selling they're a shipper.

Yeah I see shippers on DAT and TS once in a while, they only have a DOT#, no MC# and no bond.
I've always wondered how one would go about insuring that they get paid if they take a load from them, what do you ask for from them besides their W-9? often times they don't have a contract/packet, they just want the rate in writing and that's it.

They're a Shipper. As Ruthless mentioned, they're crushed cars. Some locations are crushed flat while others are cubed. I talked to them a while back but I just can't load that stuff. Too hard in my equipment, too high of a chance of something flying off while in transit causing a claim from a nearby motorist and not good rates IMO.

I'm not interested in hauling crushed cars just wasn't sure what it was. $1400 on 270 miles isn't a bad rate IMO.

I have not hauled for them. They are crushed cars. The rate they offer is based on you being able to take a maximum payload. Having spoken with guys that haul crushed cars, generally you are cubed out before you ever hit that number/ You can’t fit anymore on, but you do not have whatever desired weight loaded.
