This is a brand new box. New box, Steering shaft, springs, shackles, king pins, seals, hub caps, pitman arm, drag link and tie rods, wheels, tires.....etc all less than 2 months old now. I was going to just put another box on it, but they were giving me a hard time on warranty. So, I had them look at it and went from there. I told them what was going on with it and they had to run a bunch of tests for whatever reason. Heck, you can walk up to it and turn the shaft by hand and tell what's wrong.......but no....thats too simple and cost effective for them. So I'm guessing when they came back from a white knuckle test drive, they were going to look at it again. Just tired of screwing with these guys and I want a frigging shop to work in.

I adjusted the lash because there was play. If you grabbed the pitman arm, you could shake it side to side. So I adjusted the screw until that went away. However, there is still play between the input shaft and the sector shaft. I followed the directions given to me from the manufacturer telling me to adjust the screw. So when you turn the steering shaft you get alot of play still and there is a pronounced clank in the box. It's literally a brand new shaft, I put it on how the manufacturer gave it to me.

I just talked to them like an hour ago. They did end up putting that new box on it after all......go figure. She said they are trying to get the box and the Alternator warranty approved. Gees, the box was 2 months old tops and the Alternator was about 6 months if I recall.....which has a 1 year Cat warranty. I'm just thoroughly disgusted right now at the whole situation. Tired of throwing money at this because of others incompetence. Got another quote on a building. The prices are ridiculous right now. However, if I had a place to work, I would have saved myself about $30k this year just in labor. So that would have about half paid for the building. The problem is, everyone is so backed up. I gave in on the last quote. They are sending the contract over. However, they are 6-7 months out at the earliest.....obviously weather dependent. I'm just frustrated in general right now. But my road looks alot better.....lol so I got that going for me. :D

And you know by construction time, the already ridiculous price is gonna go up. Ugh

Just come out of those areas. Some nice scenery down that way. Never get tired of it.
