Short answer no. Brokers put in the work find the customers themselves.

If a couple of sarcastic answers, which I admit were uncalled for, are going to upset you that much you might re-think your career choice. Drivers, as a whole, are not known for their tact and tend to say what they think.
This isn't Cub Scouts or Little league. There aren't any participation trophies and the only safe space is the one you create for yourself.

That being said, welcome to TTR. The information you want is here. There are people here who'll help you.
You just have to have a little patience and learn the rules of the game.

    Correct.

    Incorrect.

You've posted in the right subforum. Think for a minute. Why aren't the brokers flocking to help you? Why are the truckers poking fun at your expense? Well, the brokers aren't helping, because they've built their business by pounding doors and making phone calls. The truckers are poking fun, because they know this.

Welcome to TTR. The answers are here. You just have to ask the right questions. Spend some time perusing the forum. This question has been asked many times, and the answer is usually someone posting a picture of a phone. Not kidding.

Meanwhile, plenty of carriers post help all day long here so their competitors can come in and wreak havock. We all put our time in and did the hard work. Why shouldn't we practice the same mentality as these brokers do? The search feature here is great because you don't even have to be a member to use. So many answers to the same asked questions can be found with ease.

I've been in the industrial electrical business 40 yrs and given plenty of advice/info. If I don't want to share my knowledge I simply don't. What I don t do is purposely give sarcastic/ mis information.

I understand hard work, and putting time in the trade and doing the leg work, I was simply asking a question a out load boards,I didn't know it was such a sensitive/secret topic. Lol

I understand you being upset about getting sarcasm instead of answers. But you need to understand something. Most of these replies are from truckers on a ten-hour reset. They just got done fighting traffic for the last 650 miles. Now they're kicked back in the sleeper blowing of some steam, and unwinding.

Side question - what makes you want to leave your current line of work? I'd think after that much time you'd be pretty "set". Are you just burned out? Not my business, but just curious.

You been in industrial electrical and you have never had guys mess with you? o_O

    Come on now.

we have a sense of humor here and like to mess with anyone and everyone. If you would have taken it with stride you would have had a lot of truckers explain it after the initial Hidy Ho.

just saying most of us have fun here.

Well except Brandon. He’s banned for life.

For a number of reasons, from worn out body parts to a change and something different to a great friend in the carrier bussiness wanting to expand into the logistics side of the bussiness.
Combination of worn out body parts to something new/different to a great friend is expanding his freight carrier bizz into the logistics side and has asked me aboard. I'm poking around , just was confused to exactly how the boards worked.

The fact is I didn't know or realize it was sarcasm misinformation and a joke, otherwise yes I would and could see the humor. ( there was no emogies indicating it)

In my trade of electrical I would never give sarcasim, joking misleading information purposely to newbie's for obvious reasons, it's dangerous. So call me niave but I wasn't expecting it.

" Yeah go right ahead and touh that live 480 volt lug, it will just tingle a little bit but it won't really hurt..ELectricians do it everyday with no.problem"
