Got the Truck and Trailer greased at the TA. Beats crawling around on the ground for an hour and getting greasy. I have my limits. Worth the $48. My Trucks saying about time cheapskate. I’ve been popping and snapping for 2000 miles. 16000 miles is too long to go. Most things are fine for more, but especially U joints, and front end also need grease more often. The rest doesn’t get much usage on an OTR Truck. Have to watch them. Many overlook clutch fork bushings, fifth wheel fittings, if any. And landing gear. He did good. Gave him a $20 tip. Might start coming here more. Best deal on tires right now.

Here is a AAA story. Went to unlock a Dodge Viper. Get there and dude is standing by car with hood up and key in hand. Doors locked. Doors have no key hole. Couldn’t get car unlocked no way no how. Hooked power to battery still no joy. Finally called Dodge and they said Oh it’s lost it’s security programming somehow. Tow it to us and we fixy. He did and they did.Pamela1990, LoSt_AgAiN, Eldiablo and 6 others Thank this.

I was taught that’s Devils work. Anytime funds are diverted from the Church, seems it’s Devils work. Lol. My Mom visited those a bit. My sisters also are believers. I think it’s a scam. I do believe in ESP though. Too many coincidences to explain away. I particularly like the Psychics that solve crimes. Incredible stories. Try not to be superstitious, but why take a chance? Lol. If a Black Cat crossed the street in front of Us, my Dad would stop the car and turn around. Especially when he had an open beer in the car. Once while fallen off the wagon, after taking Us boys downtown for a show up ( line up ) at Juvenile hall, where he made quite the scene, I might add. Calling the Cops and Juvenile Authorities a bunch of real Criminals. Lol. It’s a wonder he didn’t get aressted himself. It was during a spring ice storm. We got home, to find our giant tree fallen onto the Garage. My Dad stared and somberly said, “ It’s a sign from God” Lol. He stayed sober for many years after that!!Pamela1990, LoSt_AgAiN, 77fib77 and 6 others Thank this.

I went in 1958, Army was changing from brown boots to black. We got issued 2 pair boots (brown in color) and 2 each dye kits (Black content) and fell out the next morning in black boots. Used these thru basic, bought new black at PX, re-dyed did not Simoniz to suit the sergeants. Picky mothers, I always thought.Pamela1990, LoSt_AgAiN, Dave_in_AZ and 6 others Thank this.

Never really considered my folks teaching, more on the there-then. $5 or $10 bucks to her. I always thought my eyesight was as good as hers, to see the future down US45A south to New Orleans and its waterfront.Pamela1990, LoSt_AgAiN, 77fib77 and 5 others Thank this.
