Got my b service done but they didn't even look at my sheet to see my complaint about the bunk heater. so they got to that this morning.

And it seems nothing has changed with the bunk heater.
It stays on for some while, then it shuts down. It still does not cycle on and off and on again like it is supposed to.
Is this another 'new normal' where I will have to wake up every hour or so to start the bunk heater when it gets too cold?

And then it goes back to idling the truck when I shouldn't have to to stay warm enough, and thus giving up a lot of bonus money.

    Hashtag... Conspiracy theory.

    Because... really!
Menasha told me they didn't have the people to rebuild it, so get it to a larger shop.
Edwardsville cranked it up and it ran for 30 minutes and they called it good.
Manteno told me they were going to clean everything out to make it good again.

And it still is the same crap workings with it shutting down and not starting up again.
Is there ANYONE in the Swift network that actually understands how that bunk heater works, and knows how to fix it?
    ???!!!

    dptrucker and dwells40 Thank this.

    I have a 20 cascadia.
I turn my optimize idle on. leave interior comfort off.
and my bunk heater will work.
other way I got it to work was leave dome light on. other relay driver I had ask why I left light on and told him.
he told me to turn opt idle on

Not to mention it being harder to get into a Walmart for food because of traffic and all those blitz trailers in the parking lot.

And it is always fun delivering those trailers, right?
"Just drop it over there next to the other trailers...", when there is no room to actually park it there.
Then bobtail out, and there are no empties within a hundred miles because Walmart has sucked them all up.

I haven't noticed as much this year, so far.
Maybe it is because of the problems at the ports?

    dptrucker Thanks this.

I delivered a Costco load in Sioux Falls this afternoon, and luckily they actually had an mt for me.

This morning at 0430, just after I delivered a load to the Costco DC in Owatonna, I picked up this trailer.
The trailer license plate light was out and I had to wait until around 0700 for the techs to get there to fix it.
Not the bulb, it was the wiring.
That's one nice thing about Owatonna - our own trailer people to fix things.

Then my DM sent me this load, picking up here and delivering in Geneva, IL.
I was pretty sure I didn't have time on my 14 to get loaded before I ran out of time, and I was right.
Luckily there was a small truck stop 1/2 mile away that I could PC to.

    dptrucker Thanks this.
