    I forgot to update.

The head gasket was cracked around number 6. Cummins is warranting it, but it’s five weeks out. That was two weeks ago. I live on a golf course and went back to work for them. Got to keep some money coming in. Kind of missed the manual labor.

There was a 50/50 mix of genders lol.
Top pool is about 106F, gets cooler as you move towards the river. It was 28F air temp.
This set of springs is easy so it's busier.
The best natural ones I've been in are also super busy, but the pool is huge. Those are Laird hot springs on the Alaska highway in northern bc. The site was partially developed by the us army rangers when pushing the alcan highway thru in ww2..
Also the site of Canada's worst grizzly bear attack..

I’ve worked here in the summers between semesters in college, so since 2010. Started off as just a laborer, then slowly moved up. I was the assistant superintendent from 2014-2017 then I started chasing money. So I’ve done it all at the course. Weed eat, change cups, rake bunkers, fix irrigation leaks, put drain tile in, build tees, redo some greens. Maintenance on the mowers and stuff in the winters. When I’m home, I work on the weekends. I genuinely love working on the course. They offered me a job in the past few weeks, but I can’t stand who they have running it now. So I declined. Learned the hard way, sometimes the money ain’t worth it.

Man oh man that takes me back. I started at the golf course when I was 14 years old did it until i was 21. Same thing as you, ive done it all. Maintenance, irrigation, cart/club cleaner, worked in the pro shop. I went to work at tpc scottsdale in 2015 when they did a full $17million rebuild...then tiger woods came to play the next phoenix open in 2016. That was what i was gonna do with my life ..become a superintendent and work for TPC for the rest of my life. I had my applicators license and boy they just threw money at me for that a whopping 13 dollars an hour, i thought I was rich... Then a truck driver came in to deliver some tractors and i got to talking to him
, told me how much money he was making and the rest is history as they say... Idk some days i drive by a golf course and see a guy mowing fairways and i long to go back and run those machines. Loved doing that so much. Just hated irrigation work. Digging a ditch and hunting for leaks. Hard, muddy work right there.

There was a point in time I was playing to try and be a professional. That was my entire childhood. Nothing but playing golf. Since i was 3 years old. My highschool team was one of the best in the country . couple guys i played with are still grinding away trying to make it to the pros... Dad told me i was old enough to start working at 14 years old so off i went to work at the course after school. started picking up the balls on the driving range and washing golf carts. Started doing it for free then they hired me when i turned 15 and payed me 10 bucks a day in cash.. Then when i turned 16 they paid me 6 dollars an hour and worked my way up from there working at different courses around phoenix az
