F c c doesn't have a Southeast Regional anymore. I worked for them for about four years. The southeast thing never took off there was never enough work. I was an owner operator there. so I don't really know their company policy when it comes to taking that much time off. Danny Herman doesn't run the Northeast. A lot of companies in this area do is my understanding. I don't know, I know I don't go up there but I'm an owner operator. I work for Danny Herman about three years and they were always good to me. They would give you the time off you were looking for and you wouldn't have to unload any Freight. Venture has dedicated work out of Cleveland Tennessee but your home everyday.

Yeah... lots of local trucking companies around here and so many others offering hometime every weekend... and also going NE...
Crete offers southeast regional n that's what caught my attention... Spoke for hrs with a driver in that account n he told me how they operate... I liked it.

With the length of time out that you are requesting, we can work that into our dispatch routine. Chattanooga is technically out of our area, but we have customers 2 hours away in N GA and N AL that could make this work. We also don't have any dumb rules like a maximum of 4 days at home or you lose your truck.

Midwest regional lanes, with the occasional Utah, Dallas, Atlanta runs (among other rarities). No NE. No West Coast. Friendly dispatchers.

Looking for a Few Safe Midwest Regional Solos, Honest $75k Opportunity

EDIT: I just saw the username, and we have interacted a bit in the past.. While we don't have a terminal in your preferred area, we allow our drivers to base their trucks at home.

Call me at the number in the TR ad linked and we can see if something can be worked out.

Another good company, good safety record, very well maintained equipment and good pay... but recruiter told me they require new driver to lift 80 lbs during DOT test... I can't...

Have you considered buying your own truck so that you can finally be a company that meets your requirements?

Years ago I considered that... but never did cause had to travel abroad from time to time, sometimes on an emergency call because of my "old" dad living there and needed me. Besides, I don't think I have what it takes to be a successful O/O. The business side of it is too much for me... time consuming... and the breakdown aspect too.. I heard too many stories of O/Os going thru one problem after another, lots of headaches and expenses... I wouldn't want to be dealing with all that...
And now that I am getting "old", or already "old".... :biggrin_25523: I don't really see myself trucking for too many more years...
I could go on a rant about more reasons why I don't want to become an O/O now but that should go in another thread...
Anyway... I guess I am just a good "steering wheel holder" at this point...
