I run a IC7000 and a Tarheel Stubby. When I am running midwest to southeast areas i can be found on 7.191 (40 meterts )6a.m.-8a.m. RV Service net. There are sister nets for the Rock MTN Areas and West coast. I also check in on 14.287 (20 meters) at 9a.m.a central time to the Senile net Monday through Friday. Then I tend to camp on 14.287 and rag chew with family or whomever on or near that freq during day light hours. KB5EAG

Some drivers used to hang out on 14.320.50 I have been told they moved up the band but don't recall the frequency. Would generally hear them in the afternoon.

I've been off the bands for awhile. I am no longer driving a truck and I work from home. I'm about to put a shop out here on the property. Probably set my station back up when I get electricity hooked up. I'll get more active...

Would love to do a truckers net or something....

I had my IC-706MKII G and a set of Hustler resonators with the short mast on my Cascadia that i drive the first time i went trucking. Also had a VHF/UHF antenna as well. When i get back on the road if i am allowed i plan on doing it again.

Truck220-1.jpg There are guys who have good luck with the screwdriver type antennas. I don't know why they wouldn't work on 11 meters.
