One week in the new truck and I honestly don’t have any complaints. I’ve gotten used to all the buzzers and stuff which were quite annoying for the first couple days but since this is the future of trucking I might as well get used to It. Truck rides great and is quiet when idling which makes It nice when sleeping.

Saw a new black Rosedale Volvo today on the 40 in Knoxville. Nice looking rig.

7 months in and still no complaints. Honestly loving It here. Had a dentist appointment last Friday so my dispatcher had me running in Florida and Georgia to make sure I was able to get home when I needed to be.

Good to hear, hang on to the good jobs when you can. Trucking is a stressful lifestyle, if you can find a place you’re happy that’s worth a million bucks.

Hey @ThomasTrucker21 ... glad to know you found a good outfit for you.
You "inspired" me to call the recruiter today... Talked with Ms. Tina, very sweet lady and asked her a bunch of questions...
She told me they bought 3 Internationals 2022 and will buy some more. The new trucks have outward cameras, and all those irritating bells and whistles...
It was a little "surprising" to me that they bought Internationals after having Peterbilts... After all, Internationals are POS compared to Peterbilts IMHO.
She said they require a minimum of 6 months experience but since I haven't driven a truck in the last 2 yrs, they would let me drive local with another driver for some days or so for practice and would pay me $150.00 a day... couldn't say how many hrs a day, but I assumed 10hrs....?
She said they have non automatic Peterbilt trucks available right now... the oldest being 2017.
The manual trucks don't have refrigerator and the autos do.
All trucks governed at 68 mph on the pedal and on the cruise.
Miles calculated by PC miler from zip code to zip code.
Fuel only at Loves, etc, etc...
I asked if I could stay 3 months on the road and then get 7 days off... she said most likely yes... but more certainly 4 to 5 days off...
They go north and northeast, south and southeast... and working on going CO and UT in the near future...
I would consider this company if they had a southeast regional and no northeast...
Wishing you all the best out there...

Yep all sounds about accurate other than the 68mph. They have been turning up some trucks to 70 but only a couple dozen drivers know about It I guess. I’m in one of the internationals currently and although It has all the annoying buzzers and stuff I like It a lot. I asked the same thing about southeast regional but going out to Pennsylvania or Michigan then turning around and coming back south actually isn’t all that bad. Also Pennsylvania is the farthest into the northeast that I have been. I don’t believe we run New York, New Jersey or any of the states that make up New England as far as I know.

If your International is a good truck and hasn't given you any problem, lucky you! :)
I had a horrible experience with an International truck... for almost one month, almost every day there was a new problem... and even had to be towed to the dealer once... :angry6: Thankfully they moved me to another truck, Freightliner... and never again I want to be in an International... I am not the only one who says International is a POS made with low quality parts... heard drivers and mechanics saying the same and even a recruiter, told me all drivers candidates would prefer a truck other then their Internationals....
Ms. Tina said they will have new Internationals to replace some older trucks....

I believe he stated they require 6 months' experience, not students.
