Won a old truck at auction last week. Spoke to contact that was in the auction listing, said the company he works for, will send me a invoice then I can pick the truck up. Will this invoice come by mail or email? Haven’t heard from anyone in 3 days now. First time winning a truck at auction. Seems like they would be interested in getting paid and contacting the winning bidder. Nobody contacted me at all. The contact who’s number was on the auction listing said it’s his yard and the company he works for truck and they will contact me. Seems a little odd. Anyone have experience with this? Thank you!

Maybe they're trying to drag out getting paid until the end of the fourth quarter for tax purposes.

Sounds weird. Was it an online auction? Ritchie Bros is quick with an emailed invoice. I just won an auction at Indiana Auto Auction and they haven’t been as quick, but I still got an invoice within 2 days.

no it was a oilfield company auction, done thru proxibid. Yes thought it was weird myself. Maybe they are behind. It’s been 3 full days.

Better fly there and handle it, could be a scam. It’ll only seem expensive doing so if you don’t get ripped off!feldsforever Thanks this.
