Don't know about the oil patch rates but Midland and Odessa seem like ghost towns compared to a couple years ago as far as oil field truck traffic. Used to be I wouldn't even consider stopping at any of the truckstops there due to the insanity with all the trucks. Now it's a breeze stopping in those truckstops.

This time of year is always slow, or holding steady. Lots of outfits start hiring after the new year when the new budget kicks in.

It is picking up slowly. I don’t think it will ever get as busy as it was when crude was over $100 a barrel. Even it gets that high again, the truck traffic won’t be like ‘back in the day’. There are too many more rules now that are enforced.
A lot of people won’t come out here if they have to play by the rules.
To many of the big name companies, don’t want anything to do with renegade third party contractors. -

Yeah ok. Perhaps they can start with finding out how these non English reading or speaking folks are getting their CDLs.

Or they can just tell them in there language which answer to pick for a few $$$
We had a former governor that went to prison for selling CDLs in the past, but evidently it’s ok now?
