Is that your steer? What brand of seal are they using. I use 99% old fashioned stemco grit guard. However there is a few Dana, and Rockwell steer axles that there is a interfere issue. Thats were i use standard CR seal. Set bearings with dial indicator. <.005. I like. 001-.002. Close to zero as possible.

Rumor is a tool that can measure preload and get you just under .000. But I dont have experience with one yet.

 

Next time use the coasters...

 

Unreal. That's just wrong. I would suggest not dropping the family helicopter off to those chowderheads to replace the whirly thing seal.
