Been a long time, but as I recall, the picture in the ad was of a flying moose, or was that the Manac trailer mudflap, aw I can't remember now, but kinda like the one that ran out in front of my bulldog one snowy night up on the airport road between Bangor & Calais, ME. No, I missed it, but I'll never forget seeing the top of its back even with the top of my hood...DeereRunner97, singlescrewshaker, Brettj3876 and 8 others Thank this.

That got me thinkin, and that's dangerous. Do you remember years ago, someone came out with some sort of a rolling device that you would feed newspapers in and then roll them real tight into a log. Then you would soak 'em in water for awhile, then take 'em out and let 'em dry. Supposedly, they burned like a firewood log. I don't know how well they worked never tried it, just seemed easier to just go out and get the real deal...DeereRunner97, Eldiablo, singlescrewshaker and 6 others Thank this.

They are like a big wood pellet. If you get them wet, they just crumble and fall apart. So far I like them. They burn super clean, leave next to no ash and more importantly....I don't have to waste my time and money tearing up my equipment in the woods. For the entire time we've had it we've cleaned out the ash box 1 time. For a total of about 10 cubic inches of ash and we burn day and night since we put it in. If you can find them, I recommend them all the way.
The truck thing upsets me because i don't like relying on others. However, again, due to others, I can't do a thing about it. The place the quoted me for the tiny shop said they are 8 months out and 2 months to completion. That sucks. So, I'm stuck relying on others. Like a very expensive catch 22.

Oh yes, I remember well. They used to advertise in Mother Earth News all the time. Seemed very time consuming. Always wondered where they were getting all the paper.
