If you're buying a Series 60, it'll already have a turbo on it. Unless you're buying an engine out of a wreck in which case there's other items I'd prioritize checking/replacing long before the turbo.

Wiring harnesses, ECM, possibly need different engine mounts. Not saying it couldn't be done but putting a different turbo and starter on would be the easiest part.

Ok I appreciate it. The guy said he has done several and the mounts would fit it. Just trying to see about how much I would be looking at if he has to do all what he said has with the turbo mounts, starter, and harnesses. Thanks a lot.

If you're talking to somebody who has done a few of them that's who I would be listening to. A turbo and a starter won't add up to nothing really.

Do you want A/C in truck ? How about gauges? Cruise control? Exhaust system? Power steering? How about AIR compressor? You’re dealing with two different systems so you need to pay to adapt each component to work on the former DD13 equipped truck. More often than not it’s well over 10.000 if you have a good motor. A engine sitting under the hood is the easy part.

Plenty of 2015 Gliders with 12.7s installed. It’s very possible. Get with the mechanic that’s done them. Sounds like he’s an expert on what’s needed.

Sounds like op doesn’t believe mechanics estimate of what’s needed to make it work.
