Be careful what you wish for.....
We were paying OT after 50 with a 50 hour guarantee.
We grew a little bit and they started to ask for a 'better' deal in addition to their small raise.
The owners relented and changed it to OT after 45 and dropped the guarantee to $45.00 too.
NJ tried, years ago, to address this.
As long as the wage paid was more than 1.5 times the state minimum wage truckers were still exempt...
That was in the 80's; long before the push tor $15.00 per hour, but it does not make much difference; 1.5 x $15.00 = $22.50 and we are paying more than that so we stay exempt.

i wonder how pissed off the customers are

I’m a LTL driver. The Dominion guys I know seem pretty happy. They are pretty tight lipped about their pay though. They seem to retain them better than most. Perhaps I’ll apply and do some recon.
LtlAnonymous and JReding Thank this. -

snowman1980 Thanks this. -
If you're getting paid a fair wage for what you do, then maybe you don't worry about the details so much. OD drivers seem to be pretty happy. That tells me something.
JReding Thanks this. -

I think i will stay at my carrier that pays OT after 8 hours. Worked 3 day this week with 2 days paid for holiday and will still have 7.5 hours of OT.
