What have you got going on with the coolant leak?
-
@Chinatown . I must uave titled it different than what I remember. I went three pages back and didn't see it. I think I'm going to start one called. Help me fix this.
@NYStarcar
I'm not sure where its going. I've looked all over the engine. It's not in the oil which I know is a plus. But I'm losing about 3/4th gallon every 8 or 9 days. Some one suggested looking at the engine at night with a flash light. But I'm not sure how that would help. -

Check your transmission fluid level, if it pours out from the side fill plug, you have your answer, it will be the “Transmission Cooler”. I was losing coolant also, I had all the signs, I was pushing gear oil thru the breather first, I extended the breather with a hose, after a week or so, I started leaking gear oil thru the front input shaft(seal). I finally told the shop to drain all the transmission fluid and bypass the transmission cooler. My problem was solved. No more coolant loss.
ProfessionalNoticer, Oxbow and D.Tibbitt Thank this.
