TV fame went to their heads or what?

 

I actually did pick one up today. That's how I managed to get the stuff to even come loose.

Scraped every one of the fins getting the junk out and then scrubbed up and down with a brass brush. It's alot cleaner without a doubt, tomorrow I'll tear into it again and see what I can figure out. Going to check the fans to see if they are turning as fast as they should, may end up going ahead and replacing the fans with some aftermarket upgraded ones. They claim they flow more air and from what I understand the oem ones leave something to be desired anyway.

 

I dont recall cost and its been some years. Do they make you sit in the truck the whole ride. Going to the islands here you have to stay in truck. First time I asked why? Told me to be able to move it to balance out ship in a emergency. 60 min trip in the drivers seat, urinate before boarding. Positive part was the summer time scenery and everyone had to come over and look at truck. Ask what your up to. Return trip was me and a empty cement mixer.

 

Used to have to deal with them regularly. Was like 5-6 years ago. Not good people. Large sphincters actually.

 

Salvage yard trip was a success. Picked up a floor mounted pedal assembly for 100 bucks, he had a factory style one there as well and compared the sensor mounts. They appear to be identical. I'll get it mounted and test it out in a day or 2.

 

Did I miss it? What truck did you end up getting?

I was able to get it apart further. Going to try a second cleaning just to be sure it's completely cleaned out.



Fan is a bit dirty so it's getting taken a part and cleaned as well

 

What'd the air cleaner look like?
