3406 b model engine flooding with fuel

    Wassup everyone. I have a 379 Pete 1993 with a 3406b model and my engine is flooding with diesel. Took it to the shop and had one bad injector so I changed them all. Supposedly that was the problem but it’s still filling up. Anyone had this problem before or have any advice?

    please explain flooding with fuel. Cylinder filling with fuel ,slobbering fuel at exhaust manifold,Cylinder hydrolocking with engine off???

    The 90 degree fitting coming off of the back of the injection pump, and where the return fuel line connects, has a tiny orifice in it. This can get plugged and cause fuel pressure to go way up. I am not sure what happens if this is plugged, or what you mean by flooding with fuel, but it doesn't cost anything to check.

    Restricted pump return will blow the side plate gasket out, a plunger would need to fail before the fuel could make it through the pump to the crankcase.

    Its likely a line under the rocker covers is leaking if the nozzles were replaced.
