Right ! Never felt like it was real because its been in the shop since the day i finished paying for it. But now that I'm back in it and trucking, its finally sinking in that i freakin did it.... i gave up on everything ive ever tried in life, but i gave trucking all i got. said it was going to be the first thing i never gave up on, by any means I will be successful, is what i tell myself everyday. Wasnt pretty but we did it and i feel a sense of accomplishment ive never had before...

Now im just ready to go make some effin money while these rates are still hot

 

@Czar_Zero plugged the whole mess in and fired the truck up. Set at idle just fine, mashed it a time or two and she revved up no problem. Looking for slack in the harness or I'll be extending the wires and mounting it to the floor tomorrow and will be good to go. I'll post some pics when I get done.

 

There’s a guy I met at the pub a few months ago…his girlfriend got caught cheating, he decided to forgive her, and she ditched him. 40 years old, ex-marine. So, he’s out hunting for a new leading lady. The thing is, the women can spot him, and make their assessment him, from an 8th mile away. I asked him, overall as a person, on a scale of 1-10, what would he rate himself. He rated himself as an 8. An 8 would have zero issues with women. He’s not a bad looking guy, but he is trying to come off as a river rat type. So, I explained to him the need to triangulate, because apparently the women do not see anything near an 8. Obviously, he didn’t want to triangulate…the psyche is fragile.

Finally, curiosity got the better of him and I got the opinions of 5 different women, ages 60-22. FIVE women, highest score was 3.5, but the overall average was 2.75! I don’t think I have ever known of anyone that ranked so low. 5 women who do not know each other all rank him extremely low.

Suddenly, he’s in the gym trying to land a girl. If you can’t pull em out of the pub, you sure as hell won’t fair well in the gym. It is simply astonishing that women can smell desperation off of a guy from nearly a half mile away. He’s actually considering going to his ex and trying to get her back.

 

Used to be a big bar across the street. Slowly had fires till it closed. Big dance floor, live bands every night in front of the Super 8.

If your laying over, uber to the Village Idiot in Maumee. Live music, cold beer, good personal pizzas. Nice cigar shop next door. Or Mancies steakhouse downtown Toledo. They have a few locations. You want the original downtown for steak. You will drop some coin. Just make sure to add the bone marrow encrusted option.
