So booked a load out trailer heading to California. Picking up at Indianapolis In at Manheim. Broker gave me an option of 5 trailers. Found 1 of the 5 available

The 3 others had solid roofs but other issues. So wasted about 1.5hrs and left without a trailer. Broker said he had 2 other O/O pick up trailers there with zero issues. He bought these trailers from IronPlant. Kinda feel like the broker was looking for a sucker to hook and boogie.

While it looks bad, is there anything illegal about moving it?
The cross members are still there, so there should be no structure issues.
That said, I'd have to make sure what's left of the roof is very secure before I'd move it, mostly worried about the rest of the roof peeling off.

I wouldn’t move it only straight to a shop. Old fiberglass translucent roof. You can see where it’s torn already. Wind is sure to get under it and continue to lift off the rest.

The problem is with a load out your probably only getting what? $800 bucks to move the trailer? The money is coming from the load you put on it, so it’s a no go. I’d move on.

That might be the least expensive 1.5 hours you spend as a driver.
Taking that trailer is begging for expensive problems.
How can you take a load with that trailer. Isn't it expected to be weather protected when using a DRY van.

Midwest Trucker and Socal Xpress Thank this.

And guess who gets the ticket and then a lawsuit when the roof blows off and causes a fatal crash ?
