@pagan22 whats the current sign on bonus and pay scale? Heard they’re now doing a sliding scale based on mileage for the month, up to .47 for regional and .50 OTR. Back in February top out was 0.43 with a $2000 sign on bonus , $500 at 30& 60 days and $1000 at 1 year. Overall they’re a good company very laid back, just a friendly word of advice, squeaky wheel gets the grease.

Did you stick with AMX? They've been sending me emails this week. Do they allow a dog on the truck? Thanks.

I live near them...haven't pursued things with them because I'm doing the tanker/hazmat world (which they don't have).

Spoke to one of their drivers not long ago--he seemed to be happy with his situation with them.

For what it's worth--they now appear to be pulling intermodal trailers out of Jacksonville, FL.

So you also have an intermodal option with them--not just dry van and/or temp-controlled.

Sorry. I haven't been receiving emails that people have replied and I'm not big on forums, so I hadn't been checking.

Yes, still there. Yes, they allow dogs. Yes, it is a sliding scale with a sign on bonus. Talk to the recruiter for more info.

Overall, I love the company still. They're very laid back. Get you rolling and you stay rolling. I get home when I ask. They are all about the driver. Compared to WSTL, I'm much happier despite taking a pay cut per mile. I'm home every weekend and I don't have to jump through hoops getting onto the yard. I can just drive up to my truck to un/load my gear without having to ask for permission.

I also don't have bull crap to deal with when I arrive on the yard. If I need to drop off the BOL, I stop by the guard. Otherwise, I just come on in and fuel and Def the truck up. I don't have to send it through an inspection lane constantly where you can often wait 1-2 hours to find out if you're going to be sent to the shop or not like at Wiley Sanders. At AMX they expect you to be a professional driver by checking your fluids daily. They give you everything you need unlike Wiley Sanders.

The mechanics keep my truck running well.

We can visit a Blue Beacon once a month for a truck wash which we are reimbursed for. Otherwise they have a guy who hand washes the trucks.

Breakdown pay is better than WSTL as I had a DEF pump go out while in TX and lost a day at the dealer.

Everyone is easily accessible from getting a hold of your dispatcher to the owner's son if need be. I actually received a call once from the owner's son thanking me for joining the company, telling me to save his number, and if I need anything to call.

It's very nice to work for a company that actually values the drivers. I've never had that before.

Next weekend we have the company Christmas party. That's something Wiley Sanders never did for their drivers. We also had a wonderful Driver Appreciation week which included a BBQ catered lunch and daily giveaways including TV sets. Last year Wiley Sanders gave me a case of expired granola bars and that was it.

So all in all, it is a huge difference in how I'm treated as a driver. The pay cut is worth it to me for my valuable home time and respect. My dispatcher is a really cool guy and we get along well.

I've been employed since June 1st and they were gracious through my illness I had this summer. I imagine as long as I was out Wiley Sanders would've made my family drive up to clean out my truck. Not at AMX. It remained parked and locked.

Speaking of locked, every time the shop finishes with my truck they lock my doors. At Wiley Sanders, they left it wide open. I also had a problem with people stealing things out of my truck. AMX doesn't have that problem.

Overall, AMX is the best company I've ever worked for and will continue to drive for them.

More like resin art, my friend. LOL I got into resin art and have been creating things to sell locally at craft shows and farmers markets.
