Must have read my wife and my minds today, we did the same!!! Were in Houston and can't pick up till tomorrow so we got a room at the Super 8,, woohoo, Gotta check on pizza to see who delivers, probably everyone! Headed to Central TX to Tyson, pickup hopefully at noon then on to Tolson AZ. Is it just me who really dislikes Houston? This place seems nastier every time I roll thru, seems the hurricane maybe changed it for the worse. Notice I didn't mention beer, Nice to catch up on TV and a nice hot tub is always nice.
The room is a Tax writeoff and the weather channel has helped me either stay ahead of or behind these winter storms the last few weeks, granted the laptop is good but it is nice to see what will be happening over the entire country for a week.

 

I've been wondering about you KH... congrats! Looking forward to seeing seeing you out here and hearing your take on life on the road!

We're on our way there... will get in late tonight for drop in the morning Kroger and this time Alan it is Gellhorn! Not sure where we are headed next... thought we were going to get a Pre-Trip by now.

We must all be thinking a like... I just mentioned to the hubby that when we had a night freed up enough we should get a hotel room to relax... and a big tub! Course... in 12 days we'll be taking a few days off... sure looking forward to those days!

Phone service: Who do you all use? Currently we have AT&T... coverage is not the best when compared with Verizon. Anyone use Verizon... if so good, bad... and what's the top choice of smartphone with you guys?

I was not the brightest one in the shed, but I had a willingness to learn and still do. I am in the process of getting my hazmat endorsement and will take the test tomorrow or Tuesday.

I'm diggin on the HTC Hero (Android O/S) from Sprint. I know its not the beloved I-Phone, I like Sprints service, had AT&T prior to Sprint, actually was Cingular.

 

I was looking at that one... how's the operating system... web surfing, viewing pdf files and working with excel on it, etc? Oh... and I like a good camera! And double...OH... how the sound quality... can you actually hear people on it?

I bought the ATT&T Tilt for Randy when they came out... TERRIBLE sound quality you can't hear people on it at all. We had more "tiffs" on that phone over "I can't hear you" than anything else... LOL.

 

Might be careful, I'm not a legal expert, but if in the truck and if the truck is running, and your drinking, isn't there some sort of intent to drive issues.
I have heard the ole story where a driver passes out with his car running, or keys in the ignition, and gets busted. Wasn't actually driving, but since the keys were in the ignition the intent to drive was there.
Not sure if thats just a urban myth.
