Just curious; what does CFI pay drivers with experience now?
And what kind of trucks are you driving?
Also, is Mark Dahlberg still working in the driver training division in Joplin?

Not enough in my opinion, had a friend leave there afew months ago to come to the company I'm at and she said it was horrible there, I think she was making .48cpm and now she's making .60cpm with only alil over a year of experience. I believe they mostly have KW680s. Still don't have enough miles for their drivers. Also just saw were Transport America is now being branded as CFI. Drivers over there are not happy at all about it either.

CM Breen, thanks for your reply.

You sound just like me after all that I used to say on this very thread years ago. Back then, I used to really get ‘into it’ with the same five or six company schills working for Conway at that time. I never could understand why they would get so defensive about the company; I knew what they were making and I would ask them why they kept pressing on. They would allways say the same old cliches (you just couldn’t hack it... things will get better, after all, it’s a great starter company, etc.). My main motivation back then was to warn any potential new drivers of what they were getting into if they decided on CFI. I sure didn’t want to see anyone make the same mistakes (due to lack of information, even mis-information) as I did.

Looking back, it is interesting to see that every single one of those drivers from back then are all gone now. One of the most outspoken and pro- CFI guys on this thread (he’s probably got the most posts in the earlier days of this thread) was raving about his impending retirement at 65 from CFI after working there for over ten years. He did retire from CFI as planned but he was so broke from being unable to save much money in both a cash account as well as a low funded 401k that he had to go right back to work as a local delivery or an Uber driver or something. And all due to consistant low pay over a number of years.

I want to think that the newer generation has realized what fair wages are really all about and are looking elsewhere.
