I like the chu the best. I called on a 2000 chu. It was in good shape, low miles and the price was way right. It was cheap enough that I could park it and work on it and still drive this one in the mean time. Then sell this one.
As far as new(er) trucks go, I've got 2 chu613 to call on tomorrow. One a 2018 and the other is a 2017. One has 400k the other 250k on the clock.
Edit: the injector/cup issues us a very real one. The only real drawback that I can see. Supposedly they got past that in 2017 with a complete redesign......Supposedly.DeereRunner97, Flint1, clausland and 8 others Thank this. -

Mostly it was about the old friends we ate with and his lovely young family that joined us. The food was an excellent byproduct!!!DeereRunner97, Flint1, clausland and 11 others Thank this.

@Brettj3876
The biggest hurdle I'm running into is finding a truck long enough. I'd really like a 300"wb. However, that's not going to happen.....not even close from the looks of it. I don't want to stretch it. Everything is so frigging short. By the time I put a cabinet on, there will be like 6" between it and my trailer. I haul my fair share of long loads and I need the overhang.DeereRunner97, Flint1, clausland and 9 others Thank this. -
I heard that also sometime around 2017-18 was a few changes. I think, not sure but that's when they went common rail.
The 2000 is pretty much bullet proof. If you look at it ask if the cam was replaced. The early E-tech ate cams. But it's probably been done already. Happened sometime on the 99 before we got it. You probably want newer tho right?
Compared to the used prices now the 99 was a steal Lol. $26,500 only 500k on the body and maybe 200k, probably not even on an inframe. 1/13 is scribed on the bearing caps. Don't think the 2nd owner put many miles on it. That would probably be listed for 50-60k now. Blows my mindDeereRunner97, Flint1, clausland and 7 others Thank this. -
The 2000 they are asking $25k. Very low miles....like 200k(ish) if I remember right. Local truck. Interior is like brand new. Small flattop sleeper. Yeah, the guy who put down the deposit would be a fool not to take it. As long as everything checks out.....which I'm sure it will. So.....pretty sure that one is gone....lol. For that price......I would be content with it for awhile. Again, just use it to get passes this hump. Then just start buying new and use it as a backup. O'well.DeereRunner97, Flint1, dwells40 and 7 others Thank this.

So my heath coach @Lostkeys has given me inspiration to change my diet and eat better. While I have found no problem sticking to a protein diet and eliminating carbs. Beer has always been a tuff one. They have said its empty carbs, so I never counted them. Plus my dealer, edit grocery store has them close to meat counter. Problem solved. I found some nice NY strips and if I get 24oz beers, I drink less of them. Bacon and black coffee in the am.
Thanks Buddy!
Edit again. The bacon only, or eggs only breakfast. Has kept me from eating lunch or snacks most days. My local meat counter appreciates the business.DeereRunner97, Flint1, Tug Toy and 12 others Thank this. -
