I'm in the market for tarps as well!
-
Yeah I need to know also.
I bought some 8' drops awhile back and wanted 51 footers that way I had some
extra to overlap in the middle on my 48 foot trailer. Well they gave me exactly
48 footers leaving hay uncovered on the first load I used them on and the seams
where all the "D" rings are sewn in where not sealed and all the hay at the top got
wet where the seams were.

See, if you guys would get smart and get a coveredwagon you wouldn't have this problem...
. You'd only need one tarp...
-
Is there such a thing as a light weight tear proof tarp? I would pay extra.
-
I've got a set from "Mountain Tarp" and one from "Shurco". The Shurco I believe is the lightweight version which has 18oz top section and 10oz sides. It's a lot lighter than the others but of course tears easier if your not careful. My only complaint with either is they were supposed to have stainless steel D rings and don't. Wasn't too happy about that, fold up a new clean tarp and when you go and use it again it's covered in rust streaks.
Some more options
Verduyn Tarps
QuickDraw Tarps
Tri-County Tarp
TarpStop
Hey les, it's 2010 you ready to get a slider and stop throwing those boards and tarp? If you decide to get one you could always sell that sidekit to a museum or the amish!

Now that was a good one..
.
The amish are closer than a museum so I guess they are gonna get it... Oh wait, they already have sliders...
-
i think i like the side kit way too.
-
hehe, not to hijack the thread but have you ever seen anyone with QuickDraw's sidekit "The Maverick"?
I'm not a big sidekit fan just because of the added work but if it's made half as good as their rolling tarp system it should be nice. I like the idea of no rubber tarp straps. -
Never seen them before, looks interesting! I'll have to check it out if I go to buy a new kit.
