I have been playing in the freezer since I left South Carolina. After my unneeded 34hr restart I picked up in NJ went to a costco store in PA, In the Pittsburgh area for reason there are NO truckstops, and my trailer needed a washout bad. I swear when they unloaded it they must have taken a jackhammer to the pallets, there was wood and plastic everywhere. So I had to go 50 miles to Bentlyville, PA to BB. I did however get a nice almost 1000 mile load that will get to Mississippi and hopefully into some warmer weather. I am pretty sure my thermometer is stuck at 14 degrees. My truck is white but I think the dang thing is an ugly shade of grey now. I hate riding in a dirty truck, but it's pretty pointless at this point to wash it.

Yes. As a matter of fact, it would.
Sounds like what they told me yesterday. I got there at 0800 for an 1100 appointment. (So much for wishful thinking!)
Finally got out of there at 0300 this morning. By my math that's 16 hours after my appt and 19 hours after arrival. All I know is that it was waaayyy too long! -
Sam Adams 'CHERRY WHEAT' I hope. In any case, enjoy your evening there HANDLE...Cheers to ya!! -
Geeze Chromedome, talk about being disappointed. Here I thought you would brave anything to meet someone on this forum.

BigRig, sure can understand about a truck needing a wash. Mine is normally ###### brown but now......who knows what color it really is!!!!
1Bad, need a confuser so I can harass you more often.
JJ, really ought to get on this thread, that you started, more often. -
Nope, just plain ole bud. Gotta take what you can get in a truckstop. When I'm at home, I just love the dark beer and the stouts.

Finally made it to CT from OH. 640mi of snow! Luckily the roaads were clear although white stuff was always falling. Traffic in CT was terrible. I think everyone wanted to play on the highway.
Requested to be home in SoCal by the 7th... haha haha ha....

I decided a few years ago that the worst drivers in the country are in Huston TX, and the area around CT and Boston.
I figure that they have a process where they trade driving instructors in those areas, so that they are all trained the same.
Go as fast as you can at all times, never leave more than 1/2 a car length in front of you, even if the lane is ending, tap brakes constantly, but only really use them if you have to push them to the floor. -
And the area around Boston, is the only place I've been to thats its legal to drive on the shoulder during certain hours. WTF!!!! What happens when you come around a corner, doing 55, and there's a car broke down?
Also, they just don't plain care if your in a big rig or nor not. If they're trying to merge on an on ramp, they'll just look at you and say hit me!!! Was never more scared in my life when 1 of my 1st solo delieveries was in a place just south of Boston!!!!!!!!!!1 -
I was just south of there in Three Rivers yesterday picking up my load of Mr. Potato Heads. Got to experience my first loss of traction (aka "oh #%#%!" moment) on I94 between Benton Harbor and Paw Paw that morning. Was running thru fresh snow then came across two p/u trucks who ran into each other, swerved gently around one of their bumpers in the middle of the road then thought to myself "jeez looks like an ice rink up there", as I was easing off the throttle discovered that it was.
