Saw the name associated with Lassiter Logistics is William Thomas Lassiter.
Is this maybe his LinkedIn page? (Landstar?)

Tooling down a little 2 lane road. Not much for shoulders and deepish ditches, got a turn about 3/4 mile ahead. 16° and about 20-30 mph wind. Cold. The truck just shuts down and I'm rolling along real quiet, no warning lights, no strange noises of protest, no power steering, now whats going on?

Due to clean living and a good attitude, this happened just before the only place to pull completely off that little road within 5 miles. Stomp on the brakes and git er off the travelled portion.

No drips or puddles underneath. Got oil, got coolant, got fuel. Had air pressure, oil pressure, normal temps on everything.

I'm just a dumb truck driver. I ain't no wrench, so I call the nearest one I know. He gets there about an hour or two later, after I had frost starting in my earhair and my fingertips were starting to look grayish, with a computer and some tools. His old Buick sure has a great heater.

Has a hole/air leak somewhere in the plastic fuel suction hoses between the tanks and the fuel filter, sucking air in. Plastic. Thats what they use these days. Instead of 5500 psi, fuel pressure is at about 100.

Too cold for the plastic and for him to fix it outside. Rigs me up to let me get to somewhere warm for repairs. Another dead truck.

I have loaded up for the Major National Brand soft drink manufacturer.

6 hours to do a 4 hour trip.

I'm thinking I'll just take my 6am safety nap now, then get going.

I woke up about an hour ago in a bit of pain but am fine now. I was sitting here at my desk in the quiet morning in a place where I can watch the sunrise over the Chesapeake Bay. Keri has safely arrived at her new home and late last night I said goodby to another friend who is driving her car cross country. He should be somewhere between Charleston West Virginia and Ashland Ky headed west on I 64 today. If anybody can see an African American driving a 2020 greyish Nissan Rogue wave! I did learn late yesterday all the felony charges were dropped by the Commonwealth's Attorneys. Oh well. As I have stated many times I have no children, but watching Keri leave knowing I love her as a daughter is ripping my heart. She did say she was not out of my life just yet! Last night before bed I noticed she had tagged me on a private tweet this song. I went to bed with a smile on my face.

22 degrees this morning and it snowed last night just enough that the driveway needs attention. Luckily it’s a day off for my bride so the driveway can wait until after breakfast.

I must be deficient in some extremely important mineral and/or vitamin because I've been suffering recently from numerous hangnails. So I had this particularly troubling one that got worser and worser. Gathered up my nerves while sitting on the edge of my bunk this morning and yanked it out.

    Now I'm bleeding out.
