directly under Lithium is Sodium on the chart. so it is a naturally occuring element, but, needs to be monitored so level does not get too high, could be toxic , if it gets in excess , just like anything else.

Lithium does not show up on drug tests. In order to check for Lithium, you need to do a specific Lithium Test. -
You have to make sure it's really bipolar. I have met a few truckers in Virginia who have been diagnosed with bipolar who have never been manic in their life. They just fell into depression after a lot of bad life events happened and they said he was bipolar. He eventually stopped taking Lithium and is no longer taking any drugs for it at all, and has been perfectly fine since stopping in 2015.
