@Cat sdp I getting the idea that hating cascadias is your hobby, don't get me wrong I love old iron and alot of pictures you post, but unfortunately times do change and mpg goes up with lighter trucks so they are popular.

What does that mean ? Would that truck go into the outback ? Or are those trucks the ones with 6 fuel tanks…?

it depends on the chassis, road trains that go into the outback have a lot heavier chassis than the ones that never get off the bitumen

Not sure if it is an outback truck or not- not much red dust on it

Every State and Territory of Australia, except Victoria and Tasmania and the ACT has an 'outback'

So South Australia, Northern Territory, Queensland, New South Wales and Western Australia all have 'outback'

Have you ever watched the series 'outback truckers'?

    ####, Georgetown.

As a kid in the 60s my family spent the summers at the University research station - Blodgett Forest not too far from Georgetown. There used to be a lodge/restaurant called the Buckeye Lodge that my folks would take us to occasionally with a pond next to it. A fine logger by the name of Herb Sampert used to run the camp at Blodgett.

That camp had the first 6 holer outhouse that I had ever seen.

Sometimes we would go in the winter and ride a Tucker snowcat into the camp.

    I learned to snowshoe there.

There used to be an annual event called the Jeeper's Jamboree in which Jeep enthusiasts would make a trek on trails over the mountains.

Sorry to interrupt fellas, but you brought back a lot of great memories from my youth.

I liked the Cascadia I drove. I drove that on mostly flat ground but I got close to 8.5 mpg with it.

I have watched but when your unfamiliar with the territory it can get tough to keep up with, kinda like those Alaska fishing boats. I'd take a crash course in Australia, I'd love to see the country, Fthem boats
