HIghwinds light load tomorrow

Calling for 60 mph winds Thursday here in NE Wisconsin, going to be skipping Frigo Bridge for sure.

I'm around Omaha right now. The tornader alarms were going off for a couple of hours.

So far the worst of it only lasted about 10 minutes. High wind and torrential downpours, some hail.

Then it vanished just like that. Not 1 single drop of rain for an hour now.

The winds were supposed to reach 80 mph but I don't think it got that high right around here.

 

I know lightly loaded vans have it rough in wind.

In your opinion, do bobtails have to worry as much?

 

With only 12k , any winds over 40mph, park it

 

Even worse than an empty.

I parked today due to winds, my hands were tired holding that steering wheel so hard.

 

I picked up a load in Winona, MN yesterday evening. As soon as I got loaded I parked it at the Walmart there.
A bit later the thunderstorms began, then the 60+ winds.
The rocking truck kept me up all night.

Today the winds are gusting to 40.
I was able to get it to Oakdale at the Love's because it was mainly a tail wind, but I shut down again here because it would have been a crosswind from here.

I have under 6k in the box.
