Had one of those also, we got it used then my sister and I rode the heck out of it and passed it on to a family member who finally broke the frame his dad half piped it welded it up and away he went until they blew the engine.

I don’t ride anymore because I do not see well at night and no longer want to risk the badness that comes with speed and late decision …..

some days I miss it but Zoe needs a responsible copilot.

I do think about getting an Africa twin or big GS and riding to Costa Rica one way. Usually I am honk about this when the road stupidity gets above background roar.

Have you considered the transamerica or transcanada rides. Start at one side and ride across the country. Almost no paved roads. Said it can be done in a few months, taking your time.

 

Never pulled the trigger on the bm.
Had the cashiers check but couldn't part w the Blackbird. Best all around bike I've ever owned

 

I'm in the 1st category but hope to avoid the 2nd.
