Anyone on here that works at the Los Lunas DC? I used to work there a couple of years ago and thinking about going back. I have a few questions:

I was getting .41 cpm when I left in 2019. Has the pay changed?
Is it still $10 a stop after the first one?
What's the average miles per week?
How far away does one have live in order to get assigned a truck?

    Thank you in advance.

50 cents per mile is low these days, let alone 41 cpm. Aim higher, amigo.

Thanks. I am a retired LEO and only have 5 months experience and need to get more to be eligible for higher paying jobs.

I'll bet as retired law enforcement, you can show your 'Get out jail, free' card' for minor situations.

Be a sponge for knowledge and watch those trucking crash videos.

I do have retired creds, but I'll take responsibility if I get myself in trouble. Albeit, once I stopped at a weigh station and NMSP recognized me and passed me through. Made my appointments.;):)

I had a good trainer and learned a lot. I drove nearly 60K miles in those 5 months driving. I survived Wolf Creek Pass many times with a full load. I know that isn't much, but I thought I did good. I come from a family of LEO's and truckers. Yes, I am a sponge and know when to say nothing and just listen, watch and learn. Thanks again.

.41 seems low. I’d check with higher paying companies first then fall back on past company if no luck getting hired somewhere else.

Although I don't know for sure, chances are cpm pay is better now. I've been OTR with Swift just over 2 years now. During that time, they have 3 times given all OTR folks a blanket 2 cpm raise. So, without any other raises, they are paying 6 cpm more now than 2 years ago, for OTR. Can't speak to any other. I'm making 54.5 cpm total. Not wonderful, but not too bad either. I remain with Swift for several reasons that don't directly deal with pay. But, with the other things, the pay is competitive enough to keep me with them. Also, I've only done OTR. Personally not interested in any other. As I've come to learn about myself in my situation, I'm a traveler who drives a truck in order to travel.

Thanks for the information. I enjoyed my time with SWIFT. I have very few things to complain about my experience. The pay is not a deal breaker, but I'd like to know if it has changed. I have also considered OTR. I am guessing you walked in with experience and started at a higher pay rate. Can you tell me how much they are paying for rookie experience like mine and how many miles I could expect a week if I went that route. Most other higher paying jobs require at least 1 year OTR. When I worked for them I worked hard and never turned down a run. there were a few times that I ran 2800 to 2900 miles. I think my shortest week was somewhere about 2400 and that was because a run ran into the next week. I'm a biker, so I enjoy the road.
