As for to day. Called covenant to talk to jody. and he was out. But to leave a e-mail for a quicker response is what i was told as of now i heard nothing on whats going to happen with the trainer

 

The last few days been nerve cracking. Yesterday, The supervisor of payroll call me. She need to go over the trip-paks( paper work that tells then to pay you). She just told me what she need done. Faxed me the paper work to fill out. Once agian she said, she was sorry for what my trainer has or has not done. She also said, That I was the talk of the office( wow). Everyone has heard what this trainer has done. Then she said, the boys now stairs how can i say this nicely, There very ticked off and they were working on getting me a new trainer(great). She told me to check with logs make sure your ready to go. I did the log det has not got my logs Yet( there with the trip-paks). But not to worry, They will call if any thang comes up(great i thank). So unofficially Im getting a new trainer. Than out of the blue guess who calls. Thats right the trainer. Hes being all nice asking how i been, did you miss your family (dua). You have good time with your family. I said how did you enjoy being home. He loved it being with his family good christmas dinner,good christmas for my family I missed my bed. Speeding time with my family going shopping to the movies,out to dinner, i bought my wife this and that. I let him go on and on. Then he said, every thang good with you. I said, no !I didnt get payed. He said, Oh I know they called me its no problem I fixed it all we are just goig to get payed next week( what it ok ).He didnt show any kind of remorse for what he did.didnt even say I sorry i made a miss take. Nothingf. I told him about me calling payroll and how they want me to fill out paper work and send it to them. He said, what paper work. The trip Infomation to get payed. He said, no don't do that. I took care for it . Just forget about it. I said, no they called me and faxed me paper to fill out than to send them back. That payroll said to do this asp. Still he kept saying no dont worry about it i have took care of it. I told him thats fine, But im still sending what she asked me to do just 15 min ago. then I calling logs. Ha ha I wish you could heard him why are you calling logs. I said she told me to . Why . I dont know. I calling. Well it be alright just call me and let me know what log wanted. Yea right Ill call.(yep). Late last night i got a email from jody maken it official I'm getting a new trainer.( Thank god, budda, pink pigs that fly). But He dosen't know how long its going to take. (Bummer). Will I didnt expecting any special treatment. Just hope its not too long. I hoping some of these trainer are on home time waiting until new years to roll. Maybe my then some of that snow will melt and all the warehouse will be open. I heard that jan and feb are slow times. I have no money saved up. So I guess Ill start starving. Waiting on loads tp come. Hope so,The news said alot of poeple shelled out for christmas. So maybe the retailors will order some stuff. Any way there it is. happy new year. I got how covenant pays from differant scales Ill post them next. see you later.

 

Good to know you will get another trainer. And very glad to know you didn't suck it up to your old trainer. He is a SOB. Good for you!
If I were you, wouldn't even waste time talking to him any more. He is history now. Move on.
Hopefully it will not take long to meet your new trainer and he will be a good one and you guys will start making good money again.

As of September 7 2009 driver pay package.

Holiday pay- After one year of service $50.00 for each of the 7 holidays. Which as follows: New years day, Memorial day, July 4th, Labor day, Thanksgiving, Christmas & Your birth day.

Longevity : After 10 year of service with covenant transport will receive 1cpm to their base rate.

Hazmat : teams 2cpm, solo $50 per load,prorated by % of the load. dedicated based on costomer account.

safety bonus: must be on truck for a entire calendar quarter and have no chargeable accidents to qualify- paid at the end of every calender quarter
OTR solo: 2cpm on all miles, Team XL 2cpm on half miles truck has ran. Dedicated solo 1cpm; Teams 1cpm on half miles truck runs.

Vacation pay $500.00 per week. 1 year of service=1 week. 2,3,4 years of service = 2 weeks. 5&6 years of service = 3 weeks. 7 years of service =4 weeks.

Funny you say that, Because he been calling. I answered a few time out of habit. He still believes, He's still my trainer. An talks to me as if i'm on the truck. I have a few voice mails with him leaveing me message, that i'm saving. But no, your right I'm not talking to him at all. nor do I wish to. I just wish covenant will tell him that he's done with me. Thanks for the tip. rocks. I have talked to him on the phone. which sounds pretty cool. and only lives about 50 miles from here. Which I'm ready to get this training over with. If he cool, I know this will go fast.

 

Is perdium an option? Or is it mandatory?

 

The fact that this trainer is still employed by Covenant is enough reason for everybody to avoid Covenant .
