When you look at Clouds load Board, what do you see? Do you see the broker that is posting the load or just generic info about the load?

Most brokers have their internal load boards. I assume that is who Cloud is pulling from. In addition to DAT and Truckstop.

Which still leaves open who's rate con are you getting. Clouds or the brokers?

AI and Cloud make my eyes glaze over.....however, I am not a tech geek or even close. I do know that technology has surpassed 99% of the population and we are fully immersed in the above whether we know it or not. Facebook, Uber, Grub hub, Amazon, etc are using technology that is identical to the platform that is being described above. It is where we all live..... even though we dont know or understand it. I like the concept.... lets see how it pans out.

    Pulls data from multiple boards.
Next to each load it will say dat, convoy, jb etc.
Just clicked on one from 123loadboard.

On post it says posted by Schneider national.
Not sure what all the talk about ai is. Cloud does have an ops team.
Cloud pulls 13 sources of loads into one with one point of contact, cloud. Instead of multiple brokers.
    Streamlining the process.

In the introductions it says to text/email/ call ops for any load issues, detention pay etc.

So you click on a load and someone from Cloud contacts the broker and negotiates the rate.

Do you get a copy of the brokers rate con or only Cloud and they send you a dispatch?

Was looking for some Owner Operator that has tried CloudTrucks / I understood they take 6 per cent and pay all 94 per cent as soon as they get the picture from your phone / They have over 250 trucks with them / The main thing is you can quit them anytime if you don't like the system / Are there any Owner Operators who are with them / Would appreciate some info from actual Owner Ops ????????????????????

I’ll have more info soon. I’m signed up just finishing current contract.
I can tell you it 94% with your own authority.
    85% if using theirs.

At last round of funding, they had a market valuation of over $800 million. This is what happens when people who know nothing about the industry do a tech wrapper. They leave a lot on the table at 1.5% when looking at the factoring, but are way over valued at 6% when they are basically giving you factoring and some buzz words.
Basic math at a $20k month. 4.5% (6%-1.5% factoring fee) at $20k is $900. That is so over the top high you want to sputter.
And it is clear from their information they know very little about the industry. There are so many important parts of this that are never discussed but they have the tech buzzwords down.
But who would want a carrier that is in the 90th percentile on unsafe driving giving compliance advice. They are going to be audited.
I like the idea but put an experience carrier operations person with the tech. Not a guy who's family did trucking.

    Got the plate yesterday.
Getting the plate from diesel plates and permits was easy and simple. Plate arrived next day.
    Charges for plate:
    Total Cost: $1,685.50
    • DMV IRP Fee: $1363
    • IRP Registration & Plate Express Service: $150
    • Additional Truck Add-on: $25
    • GoldenState Overnight Delivery Service: $12.50
    • VIN Verification: $50
    • VIN History Report: $25
    • FedEx Overnight: $60
Plate came with the CA 80 decals. Not familiar with those and a permit binder.

Plates can be paid for up front or at 5% per load. I chose the per load option.

Trucks at the local shop now.
Having them install the ELD electronics and tighten up a few loose ends I've run into with problems with the tractor.
Local sign shop will also be applying the signage to the truck while its there.

Decided to go with an Ipad mini for my ELD device. I'm going to pair it with Ram Mounts GDS tech intelliskin and base.
Mini base and skin won't be out until end of January.

Was suppose to hear back from the insurance this week. To get that finalized.
Haven't received a call from them. I'll contact them Monday if I don't hear anything.

To finish up onboarding I need the Certificate of Insurance for Non-Trucking Liability.
Once that's been complete I'll get my IFTA Decals, HUT and weight and distance permits for KY, OR and NM.

Can't finish everything in a timely fashion. Need the plate to finish on boarding, need IFTA to get the ezpass can't get the IFTA until you have a plate.

Slight delay in getting out there.
    Caught covid.
Hopefully by the time I've finished everything it will be gone.
