Papa, my baby sis, and I live in the country, on acreages.
My older sis lives in town, and they often walk to nearby things. They enjoy walking.
Yes my arm is still in a sling.

Myself and Missus Skillet just got back from dinner.

We took our son and his girlfriend to a restaurant of his choice. Graduation present, y'know.

Well, he's a bit of a "foodie", so he picks a high-end local steak joint downtown.

They don't take reservations or credit cards. FCFS, 430pm to 10pm.

We get there at 6pm. Hour and a half wait. While we were in there, I looked around......

As soon as you walk in, you're in line at the bar. Right next to that is the rows of tables, customers ####### to elbow with one another. And LOUD........Waffle House has better ambience.

I vote "no ####ing way, pick again".

We go through a few other possibilities, settle on a high-end local steak joint on the other side of town. We phone in a reservation, by the time we get there we are seated immediately.

I'm getting a little angsty, because I have a simple, unrefined palate, and the place is....

So, anyway, the steak was excellent, in the top two of my entire life.

I got a side of bacon and chipolte mac and cheese. It was good, but not 13 dollars good.

I dropped the most money on a meal I EVER have tonight........but my son thanked me profusely, and gave me a bunch of hugs, and his graduation is the culmination of a financially and emotionally turbulent 4.5 years for our whole family, and he put his shoulder to the wheel and gutted it out.

So, a good time was had by all.

Still, thirteen bucks for mac and cheese.....

    Can't say I am either.

Neat to see for a few days while on vacation, but no desire to live in an area like that. But a walk in a cedar forest is still magical for me.

If you had come here instead, I would have made you Mac and cheese for just $12.50.

Surprised that it only has two straps on a fuel tank that large.

At least a few people could dance in that sleeper.

    But no chain racks :(

Thanks, Pam. :p I'll take you up on that if I ever make it to BC. I'd LOVE to see your trucking operation!

And, oddly enough, my son makes the best #### mac and cheese I've ever had. From scratch.

His secret recipe is much sought-after by his friends.
