I talked to a W/E flat driver at a truck stop. He said in 6 months of working there he had never been to the North East. Van drivers live up there.

Local unemployment office In TN it is a seperate entity that shares the offices. Here they call it Workforce essentials.

Bryan I am heading over to RE West in Lebanon tomorrow and fill out an application. They are hiring student graduates.

I went to the career center here in Murfreesboro. Give your local career center a call. They will set you up. I don't know too much about RE West. What kinds of freight do they haul?

Water heaters, Lochinvar from Nashville and Lebanon, AO Smith out of Ashland City.

Evidently both of my teachers know the saftery director there. She is the secretary of the TN trucking association.

Talk to W/E yesterday was bored and curious. I was told flatbed out two weeks at a time home 48hrs on second week. Van is about the same only they live in the northeast surprised she said that, due to the fact most dont want to go there. Guess they didnt want to lead anyone on. But the best part was with 5yrs O.T.R exp VAN is .28CPM/FLAT IS .34CPM. Ins for (family) everything vision, dental, health BC/BS $100 a wk which is about the going rate for most companies in our area. But .34cpm flatbed with 5yrs otr and flatbed exp is a joke and gone two weeks at a time wow glad I wasnt needing a job for real. I would go with Melton if I was going to stay out two weeks at a time. Melton hires students as well. Oh yeah Tarp pay at W/E is only $15. Moral of this story you have to start somewhere driver I would just keep looking no use in working for free starting out.
