I've heard a few different meanings over the years. Originally I think it was for the maxidyne powered trucks. Then the later years it meant all Mack driveline. The 99 has the gold and all Mack driveline

You know, the whole time I looked at that pooch's axxhole, by golly, I can't remember if it was gold or chrome,apparently, it WAS gold. It was a 1975 R600, 300 Maxidyne and 2 stick 6 speed so it must have been gold. Sorry for poor photo, pic of a pic, DANG, that truck rode rough!! I never knew that about Macks, I saw several Macks Detroit powered, but never noticed the bulldog color.
