To be honest I came VERY close to pulling a William Holden. According to the ME that did his autopsy he was drunk and hit a heavy night table with his head and opened a large gash that in his drunken state killed him.

As I have mentioned before, the day I got personally attacked by someone for owning a pickup, it seemed so ridiculous, I was going to leave the forum forever. Then I noticed this large amount of messages, I had received 30 something PMs saying they read that, and to please stay, it isn't my fault that he is jealous, and feels his masculinity challenged, that is on him. It was so overwhelming to have all that support, I chose to stay. Can't please everyone, and I get more support than hate. Since it's the minority that hate me, I stayed. Maybe someday I will figure men out.

I've been around this forum for a few years. I have had many debates in the open and in PMs about various topics from trucking to politics over the years. If I had left because of some negative PMs I would have long ago left. Most of the people that sent me negative PMs fall into 3 basic groups. The first group and thankfully the largest is the members that we have developed to become friends and while we don't see eye to eye, still are friends. The next group to be honest were trolls the staff have dispatched long ago. Then there is the last group, these are the ones I simply ignore. The password to the political forum is "thickskin" and honestly, if you don't develop one regardless of the forum site, you will just stay angry. Last I looked there were no restrictions that say you MUST have a CDL to be a member. If this was so the staff would have to ban me because I lost my CDL a while back.

 

Some lonely postal worker without friends obviously needed it more than you

 

Actually the mean post was in this thread, not a PM. The Private Messages I received were all positive.
A member did send me a PM about a week ago that started off with something like, You might put me on ignore after you read this, but it wasn't rude. We actually exchanged a few more PMs after that, nice man.
