well, you prolly know by now, I decided to leave the thread that I started....

 

..did u check this school out, not much info on their web site, not even a toll free nr. to call.. but i did notice they have the same address as the trk driving school for SWIFT, 4525 E. Commerce Ave.! Also they had the logos of the 3 worst companies to work for right now; SWIFT, CRE, & USX, not to mention Werner is there too? Now why you got this school recommentdation from the W/S recruiter would raise my suspicions when there are so many other reputable schools to chose from in your area, but from your other thread I understand u've already paid the tuition; hope it works out for you but I wouldn't be surprised if that WS recruiter Roxy(?) gets a kickback for pushing that school... anyway hope u get that prehire from Watkins Shepard but I'm guessing it won't be there when u finish school, but I've been wrong before..

 

I just called Roxy who told me that they had a freeze on the school for an indefinate amount of time. Are they still taking people? Strange.

 

As far as I know, they are still accepting apps, they just stopped their in house school. As for the post above yours, United is an up and up school and they do have a toll free number on their website, I've called it. I don't know about any Commerce Ave address for them. I know they do have recruiters from all the starter companies come in and speak with the students, but a lot of schools do that. Are you sure we're talking about the same companies? I believe there are 2 of them with the word "United" in them.... I don't think I can link their web address in here, but it does have the words drivetrucks in it....

I did research a few different schools in my area, and this one seemed to be the best.
