Well I'm a W9 employee, so I'm not sure if that applies. I wouldn't say they've been unfair, honestly I just don't think they are familiar with paying someone who is just a driver and doesn't perform many other duties for them as well.
Should I stay or go?

from your very first posting..
i'm thinking, farm...farm work.......farming pay...the driving part as you said, you "technically work there part time"
they may not be as familiar with the pay scale for a driver, but that as a general laborer...... -
I think it is time to find someone else to work for. If you like the work you have been doing there are plenty of farmers and ranchers down here that need a good driver.
kds_5280 Thanks this. -
How close are you to Holyoke?
Do you have benefits where you are now and do you need benefits? -
The Driver’s Agenda: Get Paid. Get Home Safely.
Never expected anyone else to care about either.
Not trying to be a buster, buuuuuuuuuut…
You messed up. You did it. You HAVE TO value your time. No favors. No freebies. No side work. The first time it’s mentioned, you ask about compensation. “Wellllll, we will talk about that/work on that/look into that” doesn’t fly. Because you didn’t see a value to your time from jump, they didn’t value your time. Understand how that works? No more freebies. Okay?

I've been able to see first hand what a high demand there is for ag trucking. Something to think about moving forward as I want to start my own company soon. Thanks for the input.MOBee Thanks this.

That's the truth. I was so grateful to get this opportunity as an inexperienced driver that I haven't been too focused on pay and now it may be too late to get them to pay me substantially better. Live and learn. Now that I have some experience under my belt, the time I spend doing it has a much higher value to me.ibcalm19, austinmike, MOBee and 1 other person Thank this.

Holyoke is quite a ways from me. I am about 45 mins to an hour from Denver. I do not need benefits just yet (still have them from my old job that I'm also part time at). But I will need benefits sooner or later.
