What's the deal with those lumber frames they hammer into the flatbed?

Do I need to remove those after the unload? I asked my dispatcher but he doesn't know.

Or do I just leave them and let the next shipper worry about it?

I'd of pry'd them off the deck with a pry bar, claw hammer, screwdriver, winchbar anything that would work & left em at the consignee.. They come with the load is my answer if any blocking left behind is something I can't use, or don't want..

Unless you are hauling the exact same load, the next shipper is more than likely going to want a clean flat deck to work with..

If you don't have any dunnage, maybe keep 4-6 of those 4x4's. Many shippers require you show up with your own..

Unless you can use em at home, any dunnage not yours gets pried off and tossed at the receiver.

No point carrying more than you need. (And pine isnt great dunnage for most things)

You can always get on the cb at the truckstop and ask if anyone wants them, it’s soft lumber so probably not worth much but someone out there would probably take them.

Drivers that deliver reels to our warehouse usually leave them and I reuse them.

Its a Choctaw TS. There's like 5 trucks here. Their dumpster is locked also.

The little mistakes man. 20211227_174554.jpg I could have been loaded today. But I drove away without thinking.

Maybe they won't use that top portion, or they'll have a dumpster for me.

That dunnage prevented you from being loaded again today?

Next load just see if you can throw them away or stack them up in a nice pile and tie down. There's likely somewhere on your trailer you could store them. Between braces under trailer, landing gear brace, something
