Wife had a big white fluffy cat. Lounged on the porch in sun and surveyed the culdsac our house was on. Dogs would trot up the street; circle the roundabout and maybe stop and peer around. Then mope on off to their other pursuits. All good and pleasant. Then would come the rare dog who had to leave the circle and venture into our yard. Dog stop; peer at porch, mull it and move on. All good... But the instant that dogs foot crossed the curb the tail twitching stopped; cat developed BIG HAIR and bounded to work. A few hisses, couple of paw swipes and dog was off and away. Cat would return to the porch; line up his sunbeams and get on with his life. It was like the curb was a sensor.
Beyond the curb, just a passing scene.. Cross that curb and touch his grass, uh oh... Never make a second trip for the same dog, nor took long.dwells40, Rideandrepair, LoSt_AgAiN and 7 others Thank this.
