i don't recall any of those in our house, growing up.

i do recall, the S&H Green stamp catalog

 

During 1945 thru late 50's nearly everybody in our area got the Sears, Spiegel and Montgomery-Ward. "Monkey-Ward": as it was corrupted,ran a slow 3rd. Spiegel was a tad above Sears in women's fashion. (I had my mother, Aunt Winnie, and 3 older sisters is how I know.)
Yes, and better not lose any of the stamps. Get home with the change, receipt, AND THE STAMPS...

 

I could still show you the location of the former S&H Green Stamps Store in Tucson. In the 60's, my Mom used to get them when she shopped at the El Rancho Grocery Store. My sister and I would paste them in the little books and Mom would buy stuff at the S&H Store with them. Those were the good old days. Now if you want something you just steal it.

Those, when FULL, went not to the Out House, just Out of the House to some purchases. Me Mother collected 'em for sum many books years.
