Unless you are advocating for the judge to not follow the law, he did right the first time. If you are claiming that the law needs changing, that's up to the people of Colorado and the elected legislators they vote for, not the court system.

I am advocating for changing impractical and laughable laws. In theory, if there are enough discussions, petitions, protest and appeals, there'll be enough pressure to fix the flaws. The judge himself criticized the law. I am confident that if this particular case was a subject for a referendum, most would incline for a lesser sentence. I wish that indeed there is any bearing of what the people of Colorado want and what their elected legislators do.Badmon Thanks this.

Even 30-40 years would be better

I wonder if they are also going to wave his deportation. To my knowledge he was not a citizen, and non citizens who commit a felony are supposed to get deported after their time served.
D.Tibbitt, buzzarddriver and TROOPER to TRUCKER Thank this.
