According to the Nyquist Theorem, 5 times the bandwidth is required to avoid aliasing. According to this golden screwdriver, 5mhz is all he needs.
What's your take? I didn't even get into sampling rate.

Where is the rest of it?

Fount it. Scot is asking the right question but then there has been the use of demodulators for decades and any scope can be used, your looking at the envelope from a demodulator.
rabbiporkchop Thanks this. -
Are you Proud of your Boy?

The problem is he's not looking at all the RF stages and he's charging money for his services. His customers are quite gullible. Audio and a modulated carrier are two different things. Try adjusting your bias voltage simply based on your audio and see how that works. Demodulators are fine for hobbyists, but are useless for accurate RF measurements in a commercial environment. W2AEW seems to have it figured out.
Are you a troll? Welcome to the forum.
I didn't understand your question.

I would venture to say the gullible people are the ones that believe a technician when he says he is capable of achieving the same results or better, yet failing to do so. I always tell people a good technician can make any radio sound the way he wants it to sound regardless of what limitations you tell us exist with that particular unit.
The proof is in the pudding consistently every time.
I never get tired of running out to my front yard and listening to this on the airwaves from 2000 miles away.ProfessionalNoticer Thanks this. -
This just goes to show that people who go dumpster diving for Salvation Army test equipment shouldn't be charging money for their "services" since if they can't see the problem they won't be able to fix what they are unable to see.

"....people who go dumpster diving for Salvation Army test equipment...."
Has anybody actually ever done that? -
