Ahh my snakes are my hobby,not so much "pets"
I have a few "favs" that Im really attached to but the rest is in place for breeding to help recover invested funds.Self Supporting Hobby if you will.
Then I have my bull dog kennel which more of a "preserve" then pets or hobby.In that role we are "caretakers".

I'm sorry Lady, Its always hard letting go of a close family member (some people refer to them as pets).

This is my Abby. She will be 13yrs old on June 15,2010. She has ALL the TRUE markings of a Pedigree German Shepard ie Ears, Brown eyes, "white/yellow" hair from her nails up to 1/2 way part of her body, then "brownish/black", the shepards' dimple, etc etc. Her left ear just had surgery on it due to dogs shaking(flopping) their head from left to right all their life. She broke a tendon. One faithful dog and shes had her share of HUGE fights against big dogs attacking her and her holding her own. The Shepards' mentality(lol). 4 years ago a guy in a pickup stopped at my house in Ohio and offered 400 dollars(thats 1000 in doggy dollars) for her and I said no and then he offered 500. Answer again was no and he commented, " I have never seen a small/grown shepard like her, I enter "small dog" animal shows for years for prizes and trophys". He left, his loss, my gain. Got her at the pound when she was just 9months old. I guess she was like the short kid that was always picked last EXCEPT, noone wanted her. Alas, when she dies, I'll have to have her stuffed and put roller skates on her, and pull her around with me
