1993 was a way different time...Alot safer as far as schools went..As far as the katrina deal, yeah you bet your ### I would have been goin to jail for whoopin on a cop as much as I could before they coulf have tassered me or somthin...But that was the local government's deal..That dosnt happen during every natural disaster, just that one...I only feel halfway bad for that little old lady..I mean she was askin for somthin, but not that..I would probably never live down south..Seems the good ol boys use the good ol boy system...That system dosnt work anymore as you can tell..

The reason it was safer in schools is kids knew if they act responsible they had to deal with the consequences. Now the kids whine & blame everyone else. See one thing that has changed in schools since 93 teaching spelling!
Just how was an elderly lady "holding" a gun not even on the grip askin for somthing. The police have no right coming into your home without a warrant or probable cause, under ANY circumstance. Guess they were just proving their "manhood"! I only hope some of the LEO officers were brought up on charges or lost a heafty civil suit for their actions. What amazes me none of the "crazy" gun owners fired on them, guess we have more sense than you thought.
What happened there set a precedent. Far as good ole boy system goes New Orleans mayor don't think, sound, or look like any good ole boy I know or the police cheif either. Good ole liberals IMO. You need to wake up to the world going on around you & realize the gov does "NOT" have your best interest in mind when they pass laws. You may be willing to live with laws controlling you liberty but I for one am not!
But it is still not ILLEGAL to cary in a CMV!! Not YET anyhow.

Haven't we gone around this mulberry bush like about a hundred too many times already?

I know this subject has come up quite a few times already but just out of curiousity with the hard economic times right now and desperate people out there, who on here carries a piece in their truck?
The way I understand correct me if I'm wrong it's against company policies to carry a firearm in the truck but not against DOT policies, right? -
Most drivers probably won't admit to it on a public forum, but I'd suspect most do carry. After all, our lives are worth defending too.
As for DOT regs, there's nothing regarding personal firearms carry in the Federal regulations. It's all up to the state and city where you're pulled over, and also up to your company regulations. -

Somebody has never been hog hunting in Florida with a .44 magnum
Yes, hand guns are handy for self preservation. If you mean me bodily harm I will not turn the other cheek.sodbuster03 Thanks this.
