It's probably not going to stop, I foresee the driver facing cameras becoming mandatory by the government eventually, just like they did with ELDs, remember when those were optional? By the way we haven't seen the Samsara cameras as of yet at Saia, but we do have the Samsara handhelds for ELD/DVIR/Route management, still have LYTX for cameras.

everyones experience is different.
i've never worked at a trucking company that wouldn't let me take a lunch break, or a break whenever i wanted it, really. never worked at a company that has a driver facing camera or any shenanigans regarding employment. never worked at a company that didn't pay overtime after 40 hr.
if there's one thing i've noticed in my last 15 years around this industry, it is simply that even driving is hard for lazy people.
and everyone thinks TRUCKING and MOTIVATED are oxymorons. -
I will say this... no company/ job is perfect.
Now that being said... I switched to LTL last July and landed at OD. I can honestly say this is by far the best place I've ever worked. OD treats their employees like people. Everyone is friendly and welcoming. It amazes me every day how friendly and happy the employees are. We make good money and the benefits are good as well. Not sure if we are the highest paid, but I truly think we are treated the best.
From your list, I would definitely pick OD and not think twice about it.
