I must agree with herkyboy. All I ever did was pick up a free cdl book, do a little studying, go take the written tests, rent a truck and trailer for the pretrip and road test and I was done. Most of everything pertaining to the test(s) in general was simple common sense things. Being around trucks and heavy equipment most of my life also helped to give me an upper hand I guess. Not to mention the ol man had me driving log trucks back when I was 16 and had a cdl at 18. Had limits on where and when I could drive until I turned 21

I live in Southeast North Carolina , by the beach
I'm sure I have reported all this in another threadJarbo Thanks this. -
Other than getting an overhead done that's good to hear. Have you been off since the 23rd due to the overhead? January 18th is getting closer and I can't say that I'm any less nervous now about orientation than I was a year ago. I just hope all goes well. I really hate starting over with a new company. I skipped a few pages of posts so I might of missed where you were from. How are the bonuses or have there been any?
-
No I have been on hometime, that is what you asked about.
Bonus 2 cents per mile paid quarterly -
Heystack don't worry it's going to be fine!!!!! We got your back.

OK, yes I started JCT Drivers United on Facebook. It is open to everyone. I had planned on doing more with it, but the the idea of sitting and twiddling my thumbs went out the window. I'm currently in Kingman. I'm going to swing down through the Castaic scale tomorrow, get a level 1 inspection done on the truck, and have a passenger for a couple of weeks. (namely the inspector that is going to inspect my truck! LOL) Enough sitting, I'm ready to roll!
Alanp613 Thanks this. -
That's good to know lol The company I'm with now just doesn't offer what I want or need. Every since my last venture as a lease purchase years ago I have been a little nervous. I hear alot of talk about JCT and log books. Anything I need to freshen up on? I couldn't really make out the decals in your pic but is that your JCT truck?

Also in order to get the bonus you need to be free of any citations or accidents.
