Wasn’t sure where to put this. Hope nobody got stuck in that mess. I’m so grateful I decided to stay parked. I have a load on my trailer going to NY. Decided to wait It out. As of a few mins ago 95 between ruther Glen and wood bridge was supposedly still impassable. Roads look somewhat clear of snow, multiple cars and trucks still scattered across the road.

Supposedly they are going to open the road at 14:00 today, but it’s going to be a mess. It looks like everyone is going up rt1 or 301. I wouldn’t doubt that there will be several wrecks after it gets back open.
Depending on where you’re at,I’d run over to 29. You’ll have some stoplights to deal with, but traffic will be a lot better.

10-4 thankfully I’m home! I will buy another day on this load thankfully it doesn’t seem to hot! I may wait until tonight and ride. 301 looks backed up south of Dahl green and south of the 17 junction. What a mess!

Just heard a update on the radio and I doubt that they get it open until late today or tomorrow. They’re having to bring gas to people that have run out and have a lot of abandon cars.

Plenty of salt and plows. Someone dropped the ball here, this is pathetic, a major interstate compromised now for 36 hours due to 6” of snow.

I’m from Virginia. Don’t ever remember seeing anything like this when I was growing up there. Live in Texas now. Relatives up there tell me the government has gone straight to the sewer. Hence the upset victory for the new Governor. But he’s not sworn in til Jan 15th. So the same crappy government is still running the show. Services such as the plows and road maintenance has been cut so they can have environmental and gender equity studies. This is the result.

Funny I was telling my wife this morning I wonder if the governor called off plows due to being upset about his loss.
